What this check is
The privacy policy has to describe what the store actually does with data: which tools collect it, what is shared with processors, how long it is kept and how a person exercises their rights. A template that does not match the stack is a liability, not compliance.
How to implement it
Inventory the tools that receive customer data, write the policy from that inventory, name the legal bases and the retention periods, and include the contact for rights requests plus the local supervisory authority. Add a revision date and update the policy whenever a tool is added.
How to verify it
Pick five tools from the store and search the policy for each: every processor that receives personal data should be named or described by category, and the rights section should give a working contact.
