Check 10 / 16 LOW impact In the full checklist

Keyboard nav + skip link for accessibility

What this check is

A keyboard or switch user has to tab through the whole header on every page unless there is a skip link. This is a small accessibility fix with a legal dimension in markets that enforce WCAG.

How to implement it

Add a skip-to-content link as the first focusable element, hidden until focused, pointing at the main landmark. Make sure the focus ring is visible, the tab order follows the reading order, and the main content is reachable without a mouse.

How to verify it

Tab from the top of the page: the first tab stop is the skip link, activating it moves focus into the main content, and every interactive control shows a visible focus indicator.
