What this check is
A myshopify.com URL in the address bar costs trust before a shopper sees a product, and two live hostnames for the same catalogue split the ranking signals between them. This check is one canonical domain, HTTPS enforced, and one redirect hop from every alternative hostname.
How to implement it
Buy the domain, add it under Settings → Domains in Shopify, point the DNS A record and CNAME at Shopify, and set the new domain as primary so Shopify issues the redirect from the myshopify host. Certificates are provisioned automatically once DNS resolves; keep only one canonical host and redirect the www variant to it.
How to verify it
Load both the myshopify and the www hostname and confirm each lands on the canonical domain with a single 301 or 308 hop, then check that the padlock shows HTTPS and that no mixed-content warning appears in the browser console.
